David Corenswet intervened on the red carpet at the "Supergirl" premiere in New York City on Monday night, confronting a photographer who touched co-star Milly Alcock.

The incident occurred as Corenswet, 32, and Alcock, 26, were posing for photos with castmates Rachel Brosnahan and Nicholas Hoult. Video footage captured the moment Corenswet appeared to speak to the photographer and extend his hand, signaling them to step back. He then moved closer to the photographer, and a brief exchange of words followed.

The foursome then proceeded to a group photo.

The clip, originally shared on the DC Cinematic Universe subreddit /r/DCU_, has since gained significant traction online, with many viewers praising Corenswet's actions.

"See, that's Superman," one widely shared comment read. Another user stated, "That is f**ked up they try to put their hands on her. I'm glad David defended her. He's our real life Superman. A true Punkrocker."

Corenswet reprises his role as Superman in the film, which is set to premiere in theaters on Friday, June 26. Alcock stars as Kara Zor-El, also known as Supergirl, who is Superman's cousin. The film's logline describes an adventure where Supergirl "reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion for an interstellar journey of vengeance and justice" when a "ruthless adversary strikes too close to home."

Also featured in the cast are Jason Momoa as Lobo, an alien mercenary, and potentially Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, though their roles in this film remain unconfirmed.

Craig Gillespie directed "Supergirl," with a script co-written by Ana Nogueira. The film also features actors including Eve Ridley, Emily Beecham, Mattias Schoenaerts, and David Krumholtz.
