Dakota Johnson and her boyfriend, the musician known as Role Model, have reportedly ended their relationship. The news comes less than a year after the pair first sparked dating rumors.
A source confirmed the breakup to People, stating that the actress, 36, and the singer, born Tucker Pillsbury, 29, separated "a while ago."
Johnson and Role Model were first romantically linked in December 2025. Photos obtained by TMZ at the time showed the pair dining with friends in Los Angeles, with sources indicating they were "very close" and "lying on [Role Model] all cuddled up at the cozy dinner."
The couple further fueled speculation in January 2026 when they were seen on multiple outings in Los Angeles. They were photographed holding hands and smiling as they left a restaurant after dining with a friend. Videos also captured them heading into a Beverly Hills restaurant wearing matching black outfits.
Role Model, whose given name is Tucker Pillsbury, released his third studio album, "Chuck Timely & the Hourglass," earlier this month. He confirmed to Nylon Guys that Johnson made a spoken-word appearance on the album's fourth track, "Love I You." He later told Rolling Stone that Johnson's "voice was perfect on it" and that her contribution made the song "really special to [him]."
Johnson and Role Model were last seen together in April, photographed in a parking lot in Los Feliz, California. In the images, Johnson was seen embracing Role Model from behind, and he was pictured nuzzling her ear.
Representatives for Johnson and Role Model have been contacted for comment.
