The Daily Mail has introduced a new daily word game called "Sandwich," adding to its collection of brain-teasing puzzles. The game requires players to identify a hidden word that falls alphabetically between two provided words, similar to finding a sandwich filling between two slices of bread.

Players are given two words at the start of each daily puzzle. Their objective is to guess the word that sits between them in a standard dictionary. Each incorrect guess transforms into a new boundary, narrowing the possible options. Participants have a limit of ten guesses per puzzle. A new "Sandwich" puzzle becomes available each day at 7 p.m. ET.

The game is designed to test vocabulary and strategic thinking. The Daily Mail's Lead Games Designer offers tips for players, emphasizing the strategy of aiming for the middle word with each guess to efficiently narrow down the possibilities. The designer also advises players to utilize the on-screen keyboard, which indicates available letters, to aid in planning subsequent guesses. Players are assured that the hidden words are not intended to be obscure and are unlikely to be found in specialized crossword puzzles.

"Sandwich" is accessible through the Daily Mail's Games section on its website and mobile application. This section features over 20 free-to-play games, including trivia, Sudoku, crosswords, and other word games like Relink and Trace. The Daily Mail indicated that more new puzzle games are planned for release in the coming months.
