Soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and model Georgina Rodríguez recently exchanged wedding vows in an intimate ceremony held in their living room, aiming to create a special memory with their children. The private ceremony took place on August 10, marking the 10th anniversary of the day the couple first met.
Rodríguez told Vogue that the decision to marry at home was deliberate, stating, “We’ve chosen to do it in the living room of our house here, where we have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and where we live the reality of our lives.” She expressed a desire for their children to remember the occasion, adding, “In 30 years’ time I want the children to think, ‘Something wonderful happened at this table—the wedding vows of our parents.’”
While Ronaldo humorously suggested the table might be different in 30 years, Rodríguez emphasized the significance of the intimate setting. She explained that despite childhood dreams of grand weddings with castles and diamond crowns, her priorities have shifted. "I want something intimate, with my partner and our children, at home," she shared. "Because castles, houses, islands, horses, cars: We have all of that within reach every day. But something intimate—that’s more unusual for us."
Following the ceremony, Rodríguez shared her sentiments with Vogue, describing the event as "exactly as I’d imagined it. Intimate, full of love, and with our family in the most important starring role. I couldn’t hold back the tears."
The couple, who announced their engagement in August 2025, plans to hold a larger wedding celebration in the future to include family and friends. Rodríguez acknowledged that the past year has been demanding with work commitments, competitions, and raising their children, making the private ceremony a meaningful way to commemorate their anniversary.
Ronaldo, 41, and Rodríguez, 32, are parents to Alana, 8, and Bella, 4. Ronaldo is also father to Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., 16, and 9-year-old twins Eva and Mateo, born via surrogacy. The couple tragically lost Bella’s twin brother, Ángel, at birth. Rodríguez has spoken openly about this experience, calling it the "best and worst moment of [her] life in an instant" while emphasizing her focus on family and the strength to move forward.
