The upcoming Netflix YA series "Crew Girl" is set to feature a central love triangle, and two of its stars, Sam Braun and Kyle Clark, have offered a playful suggestion for how the onscreen rivalry might be settled. Braun and Clark, who portray teammates Josh Regis and Cam Dillinger respectively, are vying for the affections of Miku Martineau's character, Teagan Tao.

"Crew Girl," which premieres on Netflix on September 10, follows 16-year-old rower Teagan Tao. Her life takes a turn when a family scandal forces her and her mother to relocate from California to Eagle's Cove, her mother's hometown. Upon arriving, Teagan discovers her new school lacks a women's rowing team. She eventually joins the men's squad as the coxswain, where she becomes entangled in a romantic dynamic with two of her teammates: the team captain Josh and the driven townie Cam.

When asked about the potential fan division into "Team Josh" and "Team Cam," Braun suggested an arm wrestle as a potential decider. "Man, I feel like it’s gonna have to get, like, settled with like an arm wrestle or something. So I gotta get to the gym," Braun told Decider.

Clark echoed this sentiment, adding, "I do too now. I didn’t know you were looking at it that way. Alright, I gotta go work out! I need to do that." He also admitted that he is not entirely prepared for the fandom that might develop around the new drama.

Martineau, who was present during the conversation, recalled that the cast had engaged in arm wrestling matches on set. This led Clark to tease that he believed he and Braun had arm wrestled previously. After neither actor could recall the outcome, Martineau proposed they livestream their next match, a sentiment Clark supported, stating, "We’ll livestream the official one, and then the fans can decide."
