The future of the Prime Video series "Sterling Point" remains undecided, but creator Megan Park has indicated that potential storylines exist for a second season. The show, which premiered on Prime Video on August 5, has garnered positive reviews, achieving "Certified Fresh" status on Rotten Tomatoes.
"Sterling Point" centers on sisters Annie and Ramona, who discover each other's existence after the death of their grandfather, Gordon, who leaves them and Annie's twin brother, Connor, the island of Sterling Point. The series stars Ella Rubin and Amélie Hoeferle.
Park noted that several plot threads could be explored in a subsequent season. These include Connor's potential search for his biological parents without his twin sister's knowledge, and Annie's decision to stay on Sterling Point while Ramona relocates to New York after learning that Steven, Annie and Connor's adoptive father, is also Ramona's biological father.
Park described these as "seeds" for a potentially "interesting and dynamic second season." She explained that the first season focuses on establishing the world and characters, while a second season would allow for deeper exploration of the existing dynamics and character development. Park also mentioned that "big, bold moves" could create significant drama, indicating that ideas for future plotlines have been considered.
Prime Video has not yet officially announced whether "Sterling Point" will be renewed for a second season.
