The future of the Apple TV+ series "Your Friends and Neighbors," starring Jon Hamm, is being actively considered by its creator, Jonathan Tropper, and Hamm himself. Both are keen to continue the show beyond its initial three-season arc, provided that new installments offer fresh storytelling and avoid repetition.
"We're determined to only make [more seasons] if we feel we can continue evolving the show – so it doesn't feel like the same same show, over and over again," Tropper told Page Six. He confirmed that he and Hamm have been discussing plans for the show's continuation while currently filming the third season.
Tropper, who also recently released his new Apple TV show "Lucky," stated that "Your Friends and Neighbors" possesses both the "runway" and the "opportunity" for further seasons. The series, which premiered its first season in April 2025 and its second in April 2026, has already garnered an Emmy nomination for Best Drama Series for its second season.
"I think our first three seasons have a really nice arc to them," Tropper said. He and Hamm are reportedly working to devise future storylines that will feel distinct and engaging for viewers. The creative team aims to ensure that any continuation will not feel repetitive.
"Your Friends and Neighbors" centers on Andrew "Coop" Cooper, a former financier played by Hamm, who resorts to stealing from his affluent neighbors after losing his job to maintain his family's accustomed lavish lifestyle. The series also features Olivia Munn and Amanda Peet. James Marsden joined the cast in Season 2 as a new character described as a hard-partying frenemy to Coop.
Marsden, who worked with Hamm for the first time on the show, shared that Hamm has a "sharp" sense of humor and was always a "good hang." The actors had been friends for years prior to their on-screen collaboration.
Apple TV+ has not yet announced a premiere date for the upcoming third season of "Your Friends and Neighbors."
