Craig Robinson appeared noticeably slimmer as he attended a pre-Emmys pop-up event in Los Angeles, showing a leaner, more defined physique more than seven years after he first reported a 50-pound weight loss.

The 53-year-old actor and comedian stepped out Sept. 12 at The Travel Lounge, hosted by Peta Phipps at 1 Hotel West Hollywood's Juniper Lounge and Garden, wearing a form-fitting black T-shirt, ripped skinny jeans and black leather shoes. Robinson tested golf clubs at the lounge and posed for photographs that highlighted slimmer facial features and more defined arms.

Robinson has publicly discussed changing his lifestyle in recent years. In 2017 he told talk-show host Harry Connick Jr. that he had lost about 50 pounds after adopting a vegan diet and giving up alcohol for a period. He has since described efforts to maintain a healthy routine, telling Us Weekly last year that “consistency is key” and that his goal is to work out a little every day, even if it’s only for five minutes. He has cited daily walks and hikes as part of that routine and said he collects walking canes from around the world for extra support on hikes.

Although Robinson has said he “loves vegan food,” he has also said he is not strictly vegan and has joked about ordering nonvegan items such as Pizza Hut’s Melts. He previously linked the diet change and abstaining from alcohol to his earlier weight loss and improved health.

Robinson rose to prominence playing Darryl Philbin on NBC’s The Office from 2005 to 2013. His film credits include roles in This Is the End, Hot Tub Time Machine and other comedies, and he has provided voice work for animated projects such as The Bad Guys 2. He won an MTV Movie Award in 2014 for a musical moment in This Is the End. Robinson also starred in the Peacock series Killing It for two seasons and continues to tour as a stand-up comedian while performing with his funk band, Craig Robinson and The Nasty Delicious.

Over the summer he staged a faux retirement announcement on Instagram that was later revealed to be part of an AT&T mock ad campaign for a fictional AI product called CrAIg, which included appearances from several former Office co-stars.

At the Los Angeles pop-up, which included sponsorship from brands such as Dagne Dover and Ekouaer, Robinson appeared in good spirits and interacted with attendees. Representatives for Robinson did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Robinson’s recent appearance follows years of public comments about lifestyle changes and ongoing projects in entertainment, underscoring his continued presence in television, film and live performance.
