Courteney Cox and Snow Patrol musician Johnny McDaid have reportedly ended their relationship after more than a decade together. According to reports, the couple amicably split late last year.

Pals close to the pair told the Daily Mail that the breakup was not "ugly" and that the two were living "different lives."

"Johnny speaks incredibly highly of Courteney," one friend shared. "They had a very deep relationship and they remain extremely amicable. They are great friends and care about each other very much."

Cox, 62, and McDaid, 49, first met in 2013 at a party hosted by the "Friends" star. Cox recalled being struck by McDaid's intensity and appearance, noting his piano playing and "really handsome" features.

By 2014, McDaid proposed to Cox, who announced their engagement on social media. However, their engagement was called off by December 2015, with sources at the time citing long-standing problems in their relationship.

The couple reconciled in 2016, with Cox describing their renewed romance as feeling "different" and more precious. She reflected on personal growth, stating they had both "really worked on ourselves on the parts that needed the most attention."

During their relationship, Cox expressed a desire to have a child with McDaid, mentioning in a 2017 interview that she would be open to carrying another person's egg. Cox was previously married to David Arquette from 1999 to 2013, with whom she shares a daughter, Coco, born in 2004. Arquette married his second wife, Christina McLarty, in 2015, and they have two sons.
