Georgia Hallgalley and Jake Hawker, from Surrey, England, will be projecting the England vs. Norway World Cup quarter-final match next to their dancefloor at their wedding reception on Saturday.
The couple, who describe themselves as "football-mad", decided to screen the game to ensure guests do not miss the match. "Either that or have people watching it on their phones," Georgia Hallgalley said, adding that it would be "fantastic if England win."
Hallgalley acknowledged initial dread when she realized the fixture clash, but has since embraced the plan. Jake Hawker, who previously played football in the U.S., noticed the potential conflict soon after the match schedule was released.
The wedding reception is scheduled to take place in Guildford.
