Rising country music artist Waylon Wyatt is recovering after a severe bout of sepsis that led to hospitalization and the cancellation of significant career milestones. The 19-year-old singer announced on social media that he has been discharged from a Montana hospital and is now in Nashville receiving further medical care.
Wyatt shared his health update on Instagram, expressing gratitude for his recovery and the support of his fans. "I'm so grateful to be on the mend and can't tell y'all how much I appreciate all y'alls support through this," he wrote. He noted the disappointment of having to cancel his Grand Ole Opry debut, a "bucket list show," along with the Dustpiles release show and his appearance at the Under the Big Sky Festival. Wyatt expressed his intention to reschedule the Opry date.
The sepsis diagnosis occurred on July 17, the same day Wyatt's debut album, "Dustpiles," was released. Instead of celebrating the release, he shared a video from his hospital bed, stating, "Album's still dropping tonight. Ya boy's got sepsis." He remained hospitalized until earlier this week before traveling to Nashville to continue his treatment with family.
Wyatt's career has been gaining momentum, with his song "Everything Under the Sun" achieving viral success on TikTok. The Oklahoma native has become a notable figure in the country music scene. Despite the health setback, Wyatt took to social media to thank his supporters, acknowledging their role in his career and the blessings of being able to tour and release music.
