Comedians Tom Segura and Christina Pazsitzky have separated after 18 years of marriage, according to an insider close to the situation. The split between Segura, 47, and Pazsitzky, 50, has been described as amicable.
An insider told TMZ that the couple had a "special and productive relationship," noting their success in building one of the industry's most successful comedy podcast networks and raising two sons, Ellis and Julian. The source indicated that Segura and Pazsitzky parted ways in recent months, stating they "are taking different paths moving forward while remaining devoted to their children."
The pair, married in November 2008, are the founders of YMH Studios, which produces podcasts featuring comedians such as Bert Kreischer, Ari Shaffir, Chris DiStefano, and Yannis Pappas. Despite their separation, Segura and Pazsitzky will continue to co-host their podcast, "Your Mom's House."
Segura recently received an Emmy nomination for his Netflix series "Bad Thoughts" in the outstanding short-form comedy, drama, or variety series category. He is the creator and an executive producer of the series. Pazsitzky has had two specials on Netflix: "Christina P: Mother Inferior" (2017) and "Christina P: Mom Genes" (2022). She also owns a makeup company named Christina P. Cosmetics.
Both comedians have previously discussed their marriage in their podcast and stand-up specials. In her special "Mother Inferior," Pazsitzky humorously described the frustrations of marriage, saying, "I love my husband. I laugh at his jokes. I think he's fantastic. And then all day, every day, I wanna punch him in his dumb face." She added that "it's not the big things that make you wanna kill your spouse. It's little stuff."
Segura, in a 2011 set at the Just For Laughs Festival, made light of marital dynamics by joking about "intimidation and fear" as motivators, likening his wife to Kim Jong-il and himself to the people of North Korea, with "interrogations leading to a looming execution."
Pazsitzky, in her "Mom Genes" special, detailed her experiences with parenthood as an "emotional roller coaster," describing rapid shifts in emotion. "Like I go from joy, to rage, to exhaustion, to exhilaration, every six seconds, every day," she stated in the special. "And just when I'm ready to throw that baby in the river, he smiles at me. Yeah, they smile at you with those little jack 'o lantern teeth. And you're filled with so much joy you have crazy thoughts. You're like, 'Ah, I want 10 more!'"
