Andrew Santino, a comedian and longtime friend of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, said he doubts he will receive an invitation to Kelce's upcoming wedding to Taylor Swift, adding that Swift is "controlling that guest list."
Kelce and Swift announced their engagement late last month after more than two years of dating, with the NFL star proposing with an Old Mine Brilliant Cut diamond ring. The couple's relationship has drawn widespread public attention, and initial discussion about the wedding has focused on who will attend.
Santino made the remarks on the Pardon My Take podcast when asked whether he expected an invite. "I doubt it," he said. "I don't think I got that invite. You know she's controlling that guest list. I'm not on that list. Trav is my boy. I love him to death. But I highly doubt..."
He said he and his father recently FaceTimed Kelce to offer congratulations and left open the possibility of receiving a bachelor party invitation. "Maybe I'll catch a bachelor party invite," Santino said. "You could do bachelor and not wedding. In fact, [I'd] prefer it. I'd rather do bachelor and no wedding. I don't want to do weddings in general anymore. So if you can give me the bachelor party without the wedding."
Santino and Kelce have been friends for several years. Kelce appeared on Santino's podcast Whiskey Ginger in 2019, and Santino later appeared with Kelce and his brother Jason on the Kelces' New Heights podcast. On that show, Santino recounted a lighthearted wardrobe anecdote from Kelce's earlier podcast appearance, and described how an editor suggested reshooting the segment. Santino said he recommended placing a Kansas City Chiefs logo over the moment instead.
The pair have also been photographed together at Arrowhead Stadium, and Santino has played golf with Kelce and other celebrities, including Justin Timberlake at Timberlake's 8AM Golf Invitational in Las Vegas this year. Santino has shared social media snaps from Chiefs games with Kelce and Swift, reflecting their public social ties.
Reports detailing the proposal suggest Kelce planned the moment carefully. Page Six reported that Kelce timed the proposal to coincide with Swift's appearance on an episode of New Heights, arranging for a staged garden setup so he could propose shortly after they finished recording. Those accounts say Kelce chose that day in part because Swift was already prepared with hair and makeup for the podcast taping.
Kelce and Swift have kept some details of their engagement private while continuing to appear together in public, including at NFL games. No wedding date or venue has been publicly announced, and both sides have not released a guest list. Representatives for Kelce, Swift and Santino did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The couple's engagement has drawn attention across entertainment and sports media, with commentary ranging from speculation about guest lists to coverage of how the proposal unfolded. As details about the wedding emerge, friends and acquaintances of the couple have continued to publicly discuss their expectations for invitations and future celebrations.
