Colin Farrell brought his rarely seen son, Henry, to the 2025 Emmy Awards on Sunday, walking the red carpet together ahead of the ceremony in Los Angeles.
The 49-year-old actor wore a velvet tuxedo while his 15-year-old son wore an all-black suit, collared shirt and tie. The father-and-son duo posed for photographs on the carpet and were later photographed inside the venue as Farrell introduced Henry to industry colleagues. Farrell’s HBO crime drama miniseries "The Penguin" led the night with 24 nominations.
Farrell previously brought Henry to the premiere of "The Penguin" in New York City in September 2024, where the actor wore a black pinstriped suit and Henry again chose an all-black ensemble. The pair also appeared together at the 2023 Academy Awards, when they arrived in matching classic tuxedos.
Farrell shares Henry with Polish actress Alicja Bachleda-Curuś. He is also the father of 22-year-old James, whose mother is model Kim Bordenave. Farrell and Bordenave serve as James’ conservators; James has Angelman syndrome, a rare neuro-genetic disorder that the Angelman Syndrome Foundation says is associated with developmental delays, limited or absent speech, difficulties with walking and balance, and potential seizures and gastrointestinal issues.
In August of the previous year, Farrell launched a foundation in honor of his son James. In April, he disclosed that he and Bordenave had arranged for James to move into a long-term care facility, saying the decision was made to ensure he would have a full and happy life and that plans were in place should anything happen to his parents.
The Emmys appearance was noted as a rare public outing with Henry, who has appeared with his father only on a few high-profile occasions. Photographs from the evening show the pair maintaining composed expressions as they greeted photographers and guests at the ceremony.
