Coleen Rooney was seen sprinting to the gym in Alo activewear on Monday as she resumed a normal routine following last week’s National Television Awards appearance.
The 39-year-old was photographed during the school run in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, wearing a brown Alo yoga jumper, black leggings and trainers. Observers said she moved at a brisk pace as she headed towards a local fitness facility earlier in the day.
Rooney attended the NTAs last Wednesday, where she was part of the celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of the awards. The event, televised on ITV1 and hosted by Joel Dommett, saw I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! named as a winner. For the ceremony Rooney wore a reported Jacquemus black dress and accessories that tabloid reports put at several thousand pounds in total.
Her day-to-day appearance on Monday followed public remarks by her husband, former professional footballer and manager Wayne Rooney, on his BBC podcast. On The Wayne Rooney Show, he said he was "fuming" that Coleen no longer has time to iron his clothes since they had children. Wayne said that before their children were born she would lay out his clothes the night before; he added that she now prepares outfits for the children instead. A co-host on the episode responded that having four children made that shift understandable.
The couple have been married for 17 years after first meeting as children in Croxteth, Liverpool. They have four children; their eldest son, Kai, was born in 2009 and is 16. Rooney has maintained a public profile through television and commercial ventures in recent years.
Commercially, Coleen Rooney has increased her profile since appearing on I'm A Celebrity. She was named lead female ambassador for a global nutrition brand last year and launched her own range in March. New business filings for her company, CWR 2021, show the firm had £580,000 in its accounts up to September 2024, figures reported before her I'm A Celebrity appearance and a subsequent Disney deal.
Disney announced a premium access series titled The Rooneys last month that will focus on the family’s life. Tabloid reports have also placed Coleen Rooney’s personal net worth at about £15 million and suggested she may now be earning more commercially than her husband following his departure from Plymouth Argyle. Reports said Wayne Rooney was earning around £500,000 before leaving the club in December.
Photographs of Rooney jogging underline a return to routine for the family after a week of public engagements and media attention. Representatives for Coleen and Wayne Rooney did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
