Coleen Rooney and Luisa Zissman took to Instagram on Thursday to share their pride as their teenage children received their GCSE results. Both mothers expressed joy as their respective offspring achieved passing grades, securing places in sixth form.
Coleen Rooney celebrated her eldest son Kai, 16, who passed his exams and will be starting sixth form. She shared a selfie with Kai, writing, "GCSE results day!! Super proud Kai Rooney….Great results especially with a busy schedule, all passed and a place in 6th form!! We love you." Kai, who is part of Manchester United's Under 18s squad, has been balancing his studies with his football commitments.
Fellow celebrity mother Luisa Zissman also shared her daughter Dixie's GCSE results. Dixie, 16, opened her results from a tablet in her family home. Zissman posted a video of the moment, captioning it, "I’m so proud of my baby. She is amazing, hard work pays off and she worked so hard to achieve the results she wanted and exceeded everyone’s expectations!! Dixie Lola you’re a rockstar never stop pushing, never stop working hard & achieving your dreams and goals, I could burst with pride."
Zissman had previously shared her own nerves on social media, joking about the difficulty of A-Levels compared to GCSEs. She emphasized the hard work Dixie had put in to achieve her desired grades for sixth form.
Thousands of teenagers across the UK received their GCSE results on Thursday, marking a significant milestone in their academic journeys. The results determine entry into further education, including sixth form colleges and other post-16 study options.
