Cindy Crawford recently experienced a significant wardrobe malfunction during the Gucci cruise 2027 show in Times Square, an incident that went unnoticed by the audience. The supermodel revealed the mishap in an interview with Porter digital publication.
Crawford was walking the runway in a heavy, feathered gown when her heel came out of her shoe. "The dress was so heavy and my heel came out of my shoe right when I walked out and I never got it back in," she stated. Despite the issue, Crawford managed to keep the shoe on, joking, "But that dress was so big you couldn’t see it... I was like, ‘Just don’t lose the shoe. Just keep the shoe on. I don’t want to be like Cinderella.’"
The show featured a notable lineup, with Paris Hilton, Gabbriette, and Tom Brady on the catwalk, and Kim Kardashian, Lindsay Lohan, Mariah Carey, and Shawn Mendes in attendance. Crawford mentioned her daughter, Kaia Gerber, was supportive and proud of her participation, as she knew Crawford had some nerves about the high-profile event. "I think seeing me do something that I had some nerves about is good for her to see," Crawford said of her relationship with Gerber, who is also a supermodel.
Despite moments of temptation to step back from modeling, Crawford expressed a desire to continue working, stating, "I don’t want to add to that idea that women of a certain age need to be more invisible." She likened the decision to when athletes choose to retire, acknowledging that while she still enjoys modeling, there comes a time for such choices.
