Cillian Murphy’s 19-year-old son, Aran, is gaining attention not only for his burgeoning acting career but also for his remarkable physical resemblance to his father. The younger Murphy drew widespread comment after attending a red carpet event for his upcoming HBO series, "Youth."
Photos from the event, which took place Friday in London, quickly circulated on social media, prompting fans to remark on how closely Aran resembles the "Oppenheimer" and "Peaky Blinders" star. Online commenters described the resemblance as "copy and paste" and a "cloned" version of the actor, with some users noting they appeared to be twins.
Aran has been active in acting from a young age, with a role in the stage production "Hamnet" at age 11. His film debut was in the 2022 movie "Lola." He is also cast in Taika Waititi's upcoming feature adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro's "Klara and the Sun," alongside Amy Adams and Jenna Ortega. Last year, he joined the cast of HBO and Sky Television's "WAR," which also features Sienna Miller and Dominic West.
Cillian Murphy, 50, shares Aran and his older son, Malachy, 20, with his wife, Yvonne McGuinness. The couple married in 2004 and have made efforts to provide their sons with a private life away from the Hollywood spotlight, relocating the family to Dublin, Ireland, in 2015 to be closer to Murphy's roots.

In a 2023 interview with Rolling Stone UK, Cillian Murphy described his sons as "really good boys" with whom they "have a laugh." He also noted that his sons find his films to be "really intense."
