Christy Knowings, an actress best known for her role on the Nickelodeon sketch comedy series “All That,” died Tuesday at the age of 46. Her death followed an asthma attack last Friday, for which she was placed on life support at a Los Angeles hospital.
According to TMZ, her family ultimately made the decision to remove her from life support.
Knowings was a series regular on “All That” for three seasons, from 1997 to 2000. She portrayed various characters, including Jessica and Penny Lane, alongside cast members such as Amanda Bynes, Nick Cannon, and Kenan Thompson. The show was a popular sketch comedy series aimed at children and teens.
Following her time on “All That,” Knowings had a guest role as herself on the children’s educational program “Sesame Street,” appearing in three episodes between 2008 and 2011 with her twin brother, Chris.
In 2020, Knowings released a music track titled “To the World.” She had not been highly active on social media in the period leading up to her death but had previously shared photographs with fans of “All That.” She was also featured on the cover of Black Beat magazine in June/July 2026.
Knowings’ death comes months after another former “All That” cast member, Kianna Underwood, died in January. Underwood, 33, was killed in a hit-and-run accident in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York.
