Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated film 'The Odyssey' will not feature any post-credits scenes, according to information from the film's release.
The epic, which retells Homer's classic poem, stars Matt Damon as Odysseus, Anne Hathaway as Penelope, and Tom Holland as Telemachus. The cast also includes Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, and Himesh Patel.
Nolan, who recently won Oscars for Best Director and Best Picture for 'Oppenheimer,' is reportedly not a fan of post-credits scenes. The New York Post notes that director Zack Snyder recalled Nolan once telling him, regarding the inclusion of a "comedy coda" in 'Man of Steel,' "a real movie wouldn’t do that." However, The Guardian has clarified that Nolan disputes this quote, stating he advised Snyder to "stay true to the tone of Man of Steel" rather than emulate other films.
'The Odyssey' reportedly had a production budget of $250 million. The film's score was composed by Ludwig Göransson, featuring a song co-written and performed by Nolan himself, James Blake, Travis Scott, and Göransson. Travis Scott also appears in the film as a bard.
Despite the absence of any extra scenes after the credits, audiences may wish to remain seated to appreciate the full score and acknowledge the extensive crew involved in bringing the $250 million production to the screen.
