Christina Pazsitzky became emotional Wednesday on her "Your Mom's House" podcast as she discussed her divorce from fellow comedian Tom Segura, describing the split as "extremely sad" and acknowledging their efforts to reconcile for their children over several years.
Pazsitzky, 50, stated that while they are no longer a couple, their children remain a priority. She reflected on their 20-year marriage, calling it a "really good run" that produced a podcast, successful comedy careers, and a family. She opted to share the news directly with her podcast audience, who have followed their journey through various life events, including marriages, moves, births, deaths, illnesses, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
"I want you to know that I’m still your mom and I’m still here and we will survive. We will get through this bulls—t like we’ve gotten through everything else in life. This is just an unfortunate thing," Pazsitzky told listeners.
She emphasized that the divorce is amicable and urged listeners not to take sides. "This is not an ugly divorce. We’re cool, dude. It’s been 20 f—king years and we met in our 20s. Like, we met as kids. So, you know, people change. It’s just one of those things," she said.
Pazsitzky also revealed that she and Segura have vacationed in London with their children since their separation, highlighting their continued family connection. "We are not at each other’s throats," she shared. "We are still a family in many regards. He and I have such a good rapport from being together for 20 years."
She humorously described the news of her divorce as an "international d—k alert," noting a flood of direct messages from interested men, though she admitted she is not ready for a new relationship.
Pazsitzky had previously addressed the separation on social media last month, thanking fans for their kind messages during what she called a "really difficult time for our family." In early July, it was reported that the couple, married for 18 years, had separated within the preceding months in a "completely amicable" manner.
Segura, 47, had subtly hinted at marital issues in a July 13 episode of his podcast "2 Bears, 1 Cave," where he appeared without his wedding ring. Pazsitzky and Segura, who co-founded the YMH Studios podcast network and host "Your Mom's House," have not co-hosted an episode together since late April. The couple shares two sons, born in 2016 and 2018.
