Christina Aguilera offered a rare look into her family life over the weekend, sharing an Instagram carousel of personal highlights that included her 12-year-old daughter, Summer Rutler. The singer also included a public display of affection with her fiancé of 12 years, Matthew Rutler.
The social media post featured a series of snapshots from what appeared to be a summer getaway, including images on private jets and boats. One notable photo showed Aguilera, 45, wearing a stars and stripes T-shirt, with Summer's arms wrapped around her shoulders. The preteen, described as a brunette, was seen smiling while sitting on the hood of a car, resting against her mother.
Aguilera also has an 18-year-old son, Max, from her previous marriage to Jordan Bratman. The recent post, captioned "summerween," also hinted at the singer's anticipation for the fall season, as she displayed Halloween-themed decorations and apparel.
Matthew Rutler, a former production assistant, has recently been more visible alongside Aguilera. The couple, who have been engaged since 2014, attended the 12th Breakthrough Prize Ceremony together in April, sharing a kiss on the red carpet. Prior to that, Rutler had not appeared on a red carpet with Aguilera in about a year.
Aguilera and Rutler first met in 2010 on the set of Aguilera's musical film Burlesque, where Rutler was working as a production assistant. In 2015, Aguilera told People magazine that she was in no rush to marry, stating she wanted to cherish the moment without feeling pressured. She has previously praised Rutler for his devotion, drive, and hard work as both a parent and a partner, as well as his business acumen and innovative thinking.
