Australian model and filmmaker Chris Dingwall married Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm, known as Mel C, during a countryside wedding in England over the weekend. The joyous occasion was tempered by the absence of Dingwall's beloved mother, Kerry, who passed away in late 2024.

Chris Dingwall announced his mother's death on Instagram in January 2025, sharing family photographs and detailing her battle with Parkinson's Plus. "On Boxing Day we lost our Mum, Kerry Dingwall, after a difficult battle with Parkinson's Plus," he wrote, describing her as "the most loving, kind, generous and thoughtful person."

He honored his mother's devotion to her family, noting she was the "fiercely loyal" mother of four, grandmother of five, and a loving partner. Dingwall expressed gratitude for sharing one last Christmas with his mother before her passing. His brother, Scott Dingwall, also shared a heartfelt tribute on social media.

The wedding ceremony took place at an exclusive countryside venue in Cumbria. Mel C wore a custom backless gown designed by Victoria Beckham. The event was attended by Spice Girls bandmates Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown, and Geri Halliwell-Horner. Mel C's 17-year-old daughter, Scarlett, served as a bridesmaid.

A brief interruption occurred when a herd of cows wandered onto the ceremony site, but the celebration continued. Sources indicated that the couple desired an understated and classy wedding, opting for a smaller gathering.

This English celebration followed a secret legal wedding that took place weeks earlier in Sydney, Dingwall's hometown. According to Vogue, this marked Mel C's first marriage, making her the last of the Spice Girls to walk down the aisle.

Mel C and Chris Dingwall met in 2023 after matching on the dating app Raya. Their relationship inspired several songs on her recent album, Sweat. Earlier in the year, Mel C had hinted at a possible marriage, telling The Times, "It's something I didn't think would be part of my story, but I'm so happy with Chris. Maybe it is something that will be in my life."
