Celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton is preparing for his upcoming role on "Strictly Come Dancing" by enjoying a period of downtime with his children. Appleton, 43, was recently photographed on a luxury yacht in Positano, Italy, showcasing his physique in red Speedos.
Appleton, widely known for his work with Kim Kardashian and other high-profile clients including Jennifer Lopez and Katy Perry, is set to begin intensive training sessions for the popular dance competition. Contestants typically train for a minimum of 12 hours per week.
He shared a moment with his children, Billy, 23, and Kitty-Blue, 21, who he shares with his former partner Katie Katon. "The best chapter of my life has always been these 2. Couldn’t think of a better way to spend Father’s Day," Appleton captioned a photo with his family.
Appleton was announced as the fourth contestant for the upcoming season of "Strictly Come Dancing." His career has seen him named a "Hair Star" by Vogue UK, with his work featured in numerous major publications. He also recently released a memoir, "Your Roots Don't Define You."
"I'm thrilled to be joining Strictly Come Dancing and coming home to the UK for this incredible experience," Appleton stated about his participation. "I may know my way around a salon floor, but the dance floor is a whole different story – and I can't wait to get started."
"Strictly Come Dancing" is scheduled to return to screens in September. The new series will feature changes, including new hosts Emma Willis, Johannes Radebe, and Josh Widdicombe, who are taking over from Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. The full lineup for the upcoming season will be revealed later in the summer.
