Chloe Fineman is leaving Saturday Night Live after seven seasons, the comedian announced Thursday on Instagram.

"After 7 wonderful seasons at SNL I have decided it’s time for my next chapter," Fineman wrote on the social media platform, sharing images and videos from her time at the studio.

Fineman described her tenure on the sketch comedy series as "the greatest privilege of [her] life," expressing gratitude to the cast and crew, and acknowledging a debt to series creator Lorne Michaels. While she admitted that "it’s really hard to leave SNL," she added that "it does feel like the right time."

Fans shared their well wishes on social media platform X, with many noting her talent for impressions. "End of an era for SNL. Chloe’s impressions became some of the show’s biggest highlights—looking forward to what’s next for her," one user wrote. Another commented, "SNL just lost its queen of impressions. No Chloe Fineman impressions? That’s a bigger loss than people realize."

Reports indicate Fineman is in negotiations to join the cast of an upcoming Netflix project titled Myron Bolitar, based on Harlan Coben's book series. Colin Woodell is set to star in the show, with KJ Apa and Diane Guerrero also attached.

Fineman's SNL co-stars, including Marcello Hernández, Ben Marshall, and Veronika Slowikowska, congratulated her in the Instagram comments. Ego Nwodim, who departed the show before Season 51, also offered congratulations. Nwodim has since taken on acting roles, including a part in Mindy Kaling's Hulu comedy series Not Suitable for Work.

Saturday Night Live's 51st season concluded in May with an episode hosted by Will Ferrell and featuring musical guest Paul McCartney.
