Cheryl is reportedly planning a significant career resurgence with a new tell-all documentary detailing her life and relationships. Insiders suggest the Girls Aloud star is in discussions to sign on for a project that would cover her career highlights, beginning with her early days on "Popstars: The Rivals."
The proposed documentary aims to offer a candid look into her personal life, including her high-profile marriages to footballer Ashley Cole and Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, as well as her past relationship with Liam Payne. Cheryl, 43, has maintained a lower profile in recent years, particularly since the death of Liam Payne, the father of her son Bear, two years ago. She had also paused her music career after Bear's birth in 2017 to focus on motherhood and television work.
Sources indicate that Cheryl is selective about her projects and has been dedicating significant time to her role as a mother. However, she now feels she has a compelling story to share. While no specific streaming platform has been confirmed, the project is anticipated to generate a competitive bidding war among major services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Apple.
Cheryl is expected to have creative control over the documentary, a point of emphasis following her dissatisfaction with her 2012 documentary, "Access All Areas." She has previously expressed regret over that project, stating that she cringed watching it back.
Despite not releasing new music for several years, Cheryl's online accounts have been subject to hacking incidents in 2026. In June, three new tracks titled "Taking Care," "Inner Peace," and "I Miss Who I Was" appeared on her YouTube account's releases tab. Earlier in the year, a song titled "Yesus Kau Baik Bagiku," which translates to "Jesus You Are Good To Me," was briefly posted on her official Spotify page. This track featured a female vocalist singing in Indonesian and differed significantly from Cheryl's usual musical style. It is understood that the song was quickly removed by the streaming platform, and the actual singer shares the same name, Cheryl Tuasuun.
