Charli XCX Poses for Playboy, Discusses Marriage and 'Toxic' Traits

Charli XCX is featured on the cover of Playboy's Fall 2026 issue, showcasing a racy photoshoot. In an accompanying interview conducted by Kylie Jenner, the 34-year-old singer discussed her marriage to The 1975 drummer George Daniel, whom she wed in 2025. "It means a lot to us, but also at the same time, it's like we could completely do without it, and we kind of would be as equally in love if we weren't married," XCX stated about their relationship, describing their approach as "casual and relaxed."

When asked about her "toxic" relationship traits, XCX confessed to being "a tiny bit avoidant." She also described sex, sexuality, and confidence as "sacred things" to her, noting that she feels most confident and sexy "on stage and when I'm with George."

The interview also touched upon XCX's recent decision to limit dates on her upcoming 2027 European and UK tour. After announcing a tour with only six arena shows, the singer faced backlash from fans. She addressed the criticism on Instagram, explaining that touring is "emotionally and physically hard for me."

"I am not looking for sympathy and I have a huge amount of respect for artists who can handle it at an intense, lengthy and high octane level, but I am just not one of those human beings and I never have been," she wrote. XCX added that this was also part of her reasoning for a shorter North American tour.

While some fans expressed disappointment over the limited number of shows, others defended her decision, citing the toll that extensive touring can take on artists and praising her for prioritizing her well-being. XCX acknowledged the frustration but reiterated her need to honor her artistic truth and stated her hope that attendees enjoy the shows she does perform.
