Channel Nine reporter Izabella Staskowski and her fiancé, Fox Sports News reporter Drew Jones, have welcomed a son, the couple announced on social media.

In an Instagram post shared on Sunday, Staskowski revealed the baby’s name as Max Aleksander Jones and said he arrived on Aug. 29, 2025, weighing 3.72 kg and measuring 53 cm. "Welcome to the world, Max Aleksander Jones," she wrote. "You’ve unlocked a love we didn’t know was possible, and our lives will never be the same again. We can’t wait to watch you grow up and achieve all your wildest dreams."

Staskowski, who joined Nine’s breakfast show in 2019 as a reporter for Today, posted a gallery of images of the newborn and the couple in the days after his birth. The photos included Staskowski cradling Max in her maternity bed, the parents bathing their son, a playful moment with Jones, and a portrait of the infant lying beside a toy bunny. Additional images showed the couple settling into family life at home.

Followers and colleagues flooded the post with congratulations. Channel Seven weekend weather presenter Tyra Rosy wrote, "I can’t wait either. So gorg, love you both." Channel Nine traffic reporter Marina Ivanovic commented, "Congratulations! How beautiful." Fox Sports journalist Sam Squiers and Nine sports reporter Zac Bailey also offered well-wishes; Bailey wrote, "Congrats guys! So stoked for you both."

Staskowski publicly announced her pregnancy in June 2025 with a beach photograph of her and Jones, who placed his hand on her visible baby bump. The pair announced their engagement in December 2024.

The announcement comes as Staskowski continues her role on Nine’s morning program, where she has worked since 2019. Jones is known for his reporting with Fox Sports News. The couple did not provide further details about the birth beyond their social media post and the images they shared.

Fans and followers have continued to respond to the post with messages of celebration, and the couple’s social media pages showed updates reflecting the family’s early days with their newborn son.
