Candice Wyatt, the Channel 10 Melbourne newsreader, has publicly revealed a new relationship after posting photographs with her boyfriend on Instagram.

Wyatt, 41, shared two images on Sunday: one of the couple smiling for the camera and another showing them sharing a kiss. She captioned the post, "My love ❤️." Friends and colleagues responded in the comments, with Channel 10 colleague Steph Baumgartel writing, "Okay hot couple alert," and actor Krista Vendy posting, "Love this!!" Several others wrote variants of "Hard launch" and offered congratulations.

Wyatt identified her partner as David Proctor. Little is publicly known about him beyond that he is an osteopath practising in Melbourne.

The post follows public accounts by Wyatt of health challenges she faced in 2023. In January of that year she was diagnosed with sesamoiditis, a painful inflammation affecting the small sesamoid bones and associated tendons in the ball of the foot. Wyatt said the condition left her on crutches and in constant pain, and she spent about 11 weeks unable to walk. At one stage she recounted that she had considered amputation; she later clarified she would not be undergoing amputation and wrote that she was "overwhelmed" by fan support and having fun with friends.

Wyatt also posted about her rehabilitation progress, writing at the time, "None of that matters when I'm THIS determined to kickstart my rehab for this foot injury and do my damn best to maintain my overall fitness." She said returning to training after the injury felt very good.

The Instagram post marks a public moment in Wyatt's personal life after a period in which she detailed significant health setbacks. Channel 10 and Wyatt did not immediately respond to requests for further comment.
