Celine Dion is reported to have filmed a Christmas advert for Charlotte Tilbury in what some outlets are calling a return to the spotlight amid her ongoing health battle.
The Sun reported the collaboration, a story later carried by MailOnline, citing an insider who described the campaign as a “huge coup” for the brand and said Dion was “delighted” to take part. The insider added that Dion enjoyed being made up for the shoot and that producers created a “magical, festive scene.”
MailOnline said it had contacted Celine Dion’s representatives for comment. The report did not include confirmation from Dion or Charlotte Tilbury’s company, and the campaign has been described in media reports as top-secret.
Dion, 57, disclosed in 2022 that she has stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that can cause muscle stiffness and painful spasms. In a video posted to her Instagram account at the time she said the spasms “affect every aspect of my daily life,” sometimes making it difficult to walk and affecting her vocal cords. “All I know is singing. It's what I've done all my life, and it's what I love to do the most,” she said in the message.
Medical sources such as Johns Hopkins Medicine describe stiff-person syndrome as a condition that can worsen over time and may impair movement and muscle control. Dion canceled the remainder of her tour dates when she revealed the diagnosis.
Since then, she has periodically updated the public about her condition and recovery. In 2024 she spoke about improvements in interviews with Vogue and the Today show, saying aspects of her “happiness has come back” and that she intended not to let the disorder “control my life.” That year she also performed at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics and presented Album of the Year at the 2024 Grammy Awards. Her experience with the disorder was addressed in the documentary I Am: Celine Dion.
Reports that a luxury beauty brand would enlist Dion for a holiday campaign underline the continued public interest in the singer’s return to performance. The news has drawn attention both for the collaboration with Charlotte Tilbury and for what media outlets described as a carefully staged comeback amid an ongoing medical condition. MailOnline has contacted Dion’s representatives for comment.
