Celebrity Race Across the World, the BAFTA-winning reality series from Studio Lambert, is back with a new season. The cast was revealed on Thursday, and the celebrities will trek from the Caribbean to South America, swapping luxury for backpacks and a fixed budget for the unknown. The journey spans roughly 5,900 kilometers and weaves through a route described by producers as among the most diverse and visually stunning yet.

Leading the charge is an engaged couple: Tyler West, a presenter and DJ, and Molly Rainford, an actor-singer. They are joined by broadcaster Roman Kemp and his sister, Harleymoon, a singer-songwriter. Also in the lineup are journalist Anita Rani and her dad Bal, and actor Dylan Llewellyn traveling with his mum, Jackie. The group will set off from Isla Mujeres, a Caribbean island off the eastern coast of Mexico, and aim to reach the remote Península de La Guajira in Colombia, the gateway to South America. The pairing mix showcases a blend of familiar faces and new dynamics as the show returns to screens on BBC One and iPlayer this autumn.

Tim Harcourt, Chief Creative Officer at Studio Lambert, said the series’ appeal comes from audiences connecting with the participants’ raw emotion, extraordinary journeys and heartfelt human stories. He noted that the new season would place a fresh set of celebrities in the same spotlight, watching them open up, form bonds and grow through a life-changing experience. He described the show as inspiring, unpredictable and packed with moments that have helped define the format’s success with viewers.

Last year’s edition culminated in a dramatic finish as Scott Mills and his husband Sam were crowned the winners. The final leg carried the four teams through Argentina and into Chile, toward the seaside town of Frutillar, with the group covering the full 12,500-kilometer route in roughly 30 days. Kelly Brook and her husband Jeremy Parisi were among the early leaders, but it was Mills and Sam who signed the final booking in Frutillar, edging out rivals Kola Bokinni and Mary-Ellen, who finished in second.

Jeff Brazier and his son Freddy finished in third, followed by Kelly and Jeremy, while the series’ producers hailed the season as a compelling blend of competition, endurance and personal storytelling. The show, BAFTA-winning and produced by Studio Lambert, is set to return to BBC One and iPlayer this autumn, promising another year of budget-driven travel, cross-border delays, and candid, often moving moments as celebrities navigate a landscape that tests their endurance and resilience.

The new season continues the show’s tradition of presenting a grueling but revelatory road trip, with teams relying on public transport, hitchhiking and spontaneous decisions to reach each checkpoint. The Caribbean-to-Central American route is expected to offer a mix of tropical scenery, challenging terrains and cultural encounters, underscoring the program’s core focus on human connection under pressure. Viewers can anticipate the same blend of humor, tension and camaraderie that has made the series a standout in the Culture & Entertainment space, now with a fresh cast that could redefine the dynamic of the competition as it heads toward South America.
