Celebrity Race Across the World is returning for a new series after earning a BAFTA, with a lineup that includes engaged couple Tyler West and Molly Rainford, presenter Roman Kemp and his sister Harleymoon, broadcaster Anita Rani and her father Bal, and actor Dylan Llewellyn and his mother Jackie. The celebrities will swap luxury for backpacks as they race across a route that starts on Isla Mujeres, a Caribbean island off Mexico, and spans roughly 5,900 kilometres to the Península de La Guajira in Colombia, the gateway to South America.

Producers describe the route as among the most diverse and visually stunning yet, traversing the undiscovered Caribbean and the Pacific coast of Central America. Studio Lambert chief creative officer Tim Harcourt said the series' appeal lies in the raw emotion, incredible journeys, and heartfelt human stories that unfold as celebrities open up, bond and grow during a life-changing experience.

Last year's race concluded with Scott Mills and his husband Sam as the winners after a tense finish that concluded in Frutillar, Chile, following a 12,500-kilometre trek lasting 30 days. The final legs saw Kelly Brook and Jeremy Parisi and Jeff Brazier with his son Freddy among the contenders as teams moved from Argentina into Chile; Mills and Sam crossed the line first, signing the book to seal victory two hours ahead of Kola Bokinni and Mary-Ellen, with Brazier and Freddy third and Brook and Parisi fourth.

The 12,500-kilometre journey over 30 days underscored the series’ blend of budget travel, unpredictable routes and personal storytelling, a mix that has helped the show connect with audiences since its BAFTA win. The upcoming season is set to premiere on BBC One and iPlayer this autumn, continuing the franchise’s trajectory as a standout travel-entertainment format that pairs real-world challenge with intimate character moments.
