ITV celebrated its 70th anniversary with a London gala Monday night, drawing presenters from across the network who were photographed departing the event in high spirits.
This Morning host Cat Deeley led a group of on-air personalities as they left the venue, arriving and departing in a red mini dress and strappy sandals. AJ Odudu, Christine Lampard, Judi Love and Charlotte Hawkins were among other familiar faces seen exiting the party.
Photographs circulated after the event showed Lampard walking from the venue holding hands with Love, who was seen using her phone. Lampard wore a form-fitting black dress with peep-toe heels, while Love chose a baby-blue ruched dress with a thigh slit. Odudu wore a black-and-white corset-style dress, and Hawkins appeared in a blue lace number.
The gathering drew stars from current affairs, drama and soap strands across ITV’s schedules. The broadcaster last marked a major anniversary at the Guildhall for its 50th celebration in 2005.
The celebrations come amid recent announcements about changes to ITV’s daytime programming. Earlier this year the network outlined plans to reduce the frequency of some long-running shows, including proposals to make Lorraine and Loose Women seasonal and to trim Lorraine’s daily runtime. ITV has also indicated that several programmes will vacate their current studio space at Television Centre in west London.
Reports have said the daytime shows will be broadcast from a relocated studio at The Hospital Club in London from next year. ITV has cited cost pressures as a driver for schedule and studio changes, while executives have said they are reconfiguring output to reflect viewing patterns and budgetary priorities.
Attendees at the anniversary event represented a cross-section of ITV’s talent rather than a single programme roster, underscoring the network’s broad lineup developed over seven decades. The evening offered an opportunity for on-air staff and guests to mark the milestone while the broadcaster implements the announced operational adjustments.
