Carol Vorderman visited her friend, comedian Alan Carr, at his new 17-bedroom castle in Berwickshire, Scotland. Vorderman, known for her role on the television show "Countdown," assisted Carr in furnishing his newly acquired property, Ayton Castle.

Carr purchased the A-listed castle earlier this year for approximately £3.3 million following his appearance on "Celebrity Traitors." His move to the castle is being documented for a new Disney Plus series.

The television personalities visited the Paxton House Antiques Fair, with a film crew from the new series present. Carr was seen carrying a life-sized stuffed toy cow from a stall, expressing his desire to find new items to furnish the castle, as he currently has only "bits from Ikea."

Paxton House shared on social media that they were delighted to welcome the television stars and expressed anticipation for the upcoming TV series. Carr has also recently submitted plans to convert derelict potting sheds on the castle grounds into a 48-seater cafe and estate shop. Scottish Borders Council is expected to make a decision on this planning application by the end of next month.

Carr has stated that Ayton Castle serves as his primary residence, humorously noting that while some men opt for a Lamborghini or a ponytail during a midlife crisis, his choice was a castle.
