Actress and model Carmen Electra has shared her perspective on dating for middle-aged women, offering advice on communication and courtship in a recent interview with Playboy.

Electra, 54, stressed the importance of appropriate communication, advising men against late-night, impromptu invitations. "What you really need to do is make sure you don’t call her and say, ‘Hey, come meet me at a bar right now,’ when it’s midnight. That’s a huge no-no," she stated.

While Electra has been married twice, to Dennis Rodman and later to Dave Navarro, she now prefers to be pursued. "I’m old-fashioned, so I prefer if the man makes the first move," she said. However, she also described subtle ways women can signal interest, such as a "walk, sway the hips a little bit, you know, bat my eyelashes a little like a butterfly, and keep on walking." She believes that if a man is truly interested, he will initiate contact or offer his number.

For women in their 40s, Electra encouraged them to embrace their youth and continue to enjoy life. "if they are in their '40s, you’re still so young" and that they "need to go have fun, keep having fun, and live your life."

Electra also reflected on maintaining a spark in relationships, previously telling Fox News Digital that choosing a partner whose spirit and personality are enjoyable is key. She prefers individuals who are "not a downer" and appreciates artists or those passionate about their craft.

Electra's career has a long history with Playboy, first posing for the magazine in 1996. Her subsequent appearances led to opportunities in Hollywood, including a role on "Baywatch" in its eighth season in 1997. She has spoken of her admiration for women like Marilyn Monroe, who also began their careers with Playboy.

Most recently, Electra revisited her Playboy roots on the red carpet at the 35th Anniversary of The Abbey Food & Bar, wearing a leopard-print bodysuit and bunny ears, accessorized with a bow tie and sheer black tights.
