Madison Square Garden enforced a strict no-bag policy during Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Monday between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs, a measure reportedly in place due to President Donald Trump's attendance. However, several high-profile attendees, including rapper Cardi B, appeared to bypass the rule.

Cardi B, who performed the halftime show, posted images to Instagram Stories showcasing a $7,000 Chanel purse. The rapper was also seen in a form-fitting gray corset and leggings. Her ability to bring a bag contrasted with the experience of others, such as Jordyn Woods, the fiancée of Knicks center Karl Anthony Towns. Woods, known for carrying a custom "good luck charm" purse, was reportedly required to leave her bag at home.

Woods, however, still made a fashion statement by wearing a custom top crafted from vintage Knicks T-shirts and jerseys, paired with jeans. She transformed her prohibited purse into a pair of heels, which she named the "Stunt sandals in limited edition ‘Summer Citrus.’"

Beyond Cardi B, celebrity row was a hub of fashion. Jay-Z was observed in an all-black designer jacket by Bode, valued at $1,110. Actor Timothée Chalamet wore a head-to-toe orange ensemble by Chrome Hearts, accessorized with Timberland boots. Spike Lee, a well-known Knicks superfan, was seen in a Knicks jersey autographed by Pope Leo.

The event drew a notable crowd, including DJ Khaled, rapper Fat Joe, "Law & Order: SVU" stars Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni, comedians Tracy Morgan and Chris Rock, baseball legend Derek Jeter, tennis player John McEnroe, and actors Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor.

Danielle Becker, an artist whose hand-painted leather jacket was worn by Ali Brunson, the wife of Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson, commented on the growing trend of celebrity fashion at Knicks games. Becker suggested that the court-side fashion has become a significant draw, attracting viewers who may not be primarily interested in sports, and contributing to the current excitement surrounding the Knicks. She anticipates that attendees will continue to showcase bold fashion choices at future games.
