Cara Delevingne has surprised her followers with a Halloween costume that transformed her into John Travolta, adopting the actor's distinctive look from the Cannes Film Festival in May.
Delevingne shared a series of images on Instagram showcasing her resemblance to Travolta, including his suave white beret and a smart black suit. She humorously captioned the post, "I hate gay Halloween… what do you mean you are John Travolta at Cannes!"
The actor himself had sparked a social media buzz when he sported multiple berets during his appearance at Cannes for the premiere of his directorial debut, "Propeller One-Way Night Coach." Travolta explained to CNN that he wore the headgear as an homage to older directors and to help him distinguish future events in his career, stating, "I'm a director this time. You're an actor, play the part of a director. Look like an old school director."
His fashion choice at Cannes was noted to potentially channel iconic directors like Francis Ford Coppola and Ingmar Bergman, both known for their distinctive beret-wearing style. Travolta's beret streak began during his flight to the festival with his daughter, Ella Bleu, and continued with different styles on subsequent days.
Delevingne's transformation drew reactions from fellow celebrities, with actress Renee Rapp commenting, "I’m still laughing," and Rachel Zegler expressing her amusement online.
Travolta was later presented with an honorary Palme d’Or at Cannes and was visibly emotional during the ceremony.
