Calvin Klein was seen out in New York City this week, appearing somewhat frail and hunched as he walked. The 83-year-old fashion designer, typically seen with his boyfriend Kevin Baker, was noticeably alone for this outing.
Klein wore loose black jeans, a long-sleeved navy blue shirt, and black Nike sneakers. He was last photographed with Baker last month, leaving the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles together, and prior to that, they were seen leaving Gold's Gym in Venice.
Klein, who co-founded Calvin Klein Inc. with Barry Schwartz, sold the company to PVH Corp. in 2003 for approximately $700 million. He received $215 million from the sale and stayed on as a consulting creative director for several years. Throughout his life, Klein has had relationships with both men and women. He was previously married to Jayne Centre Klein from 1964 to 1974 and Kelly Rector from 1986 to 2006. After his divorce from Rector, he dated male porn star Nick Gruber, who was 48 years his junior, before splitting in 2012 and later beginning his relationship with Baker.
Baker, prior to meeting Klein, was known for modeling alongside his twin brother Joel. The two brothers even participated in a nude photoshoot together.
Last November, Klein and Baker attended the launch of Vogue photographer Steven Klein's new book at The Brant Foundation art gallery. During the event, the designer stumbled at the entrance, seemingly disoriented by camera flashes, and was assisted up the steps by a security guard while Baker proceeded inside.
