Cara Delevingne embraced a glamorous aesthetic for a Harper's Bazaar ICONS Issue shoot, where she reflected on her past candor regarding her sexuality, sobriety, and identity. The model and singer appeared in the September 2026 issue alongside other notable figures including Charlotte Rampling, Alysa Liu, Julie Mehretu, Gabbriette, Chris Fleming, Kim Gordon, and Anna Sawai.

In a June appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, Delevingne detailed her journey toward sobriety, touching on childhood trauma, her sexuality, and the pressures of the industry. Reflecting on such open discussions, she stated, "There's a part of me that after I do stuff like that, I'm like, 'Why did I do that?'" However, she also expressed a belief in the value of honesty for those who have struggled with mental health and substance use, adding, "But there's another part of me, especially as someone who's struggled with mental-health stuff and substance stuff and everything, that I feel like I need to be honest about that, that maybe that will help people more."

Delevingne also spoke to Harper's Bazaar about managing a demanding schedule and the effort required to relax. "I'm an unmedicated mental-health queen - we do our best," she quipped.

For the accompanying photoshoot, Delevingne sported a sheer black sequin top with an off-the-shoulder design, paired with leather gloves and a skirt. Another look featured a sharp black and white suit with tall boots and her hair styled in an updo. The model has recently explored her sensuality, noting that it is "fun to be naked," following a previous Playboy cover shoot.

Regarding her Playboy feature, Delevingne described the experience as empowering, noting it was her choice to pose nude. "I didn't feel great after it. But today I had so much fun. I've never felt more comfortable in my body and in my sexuality. I feel like I'm in more of my prime as a woman and as a sexual being," she said. She also highlighted the significance of being the first openly lesbian woman on the print cover of Playboy, performing a rebellious act with a female-led, predominantly queer creative team. She donned the iconic Playboy Bunny Suit for the shoot, a move not seen for a supermodel since Kate Moss in 2014.

Delevingne discussed her music career aspirations, expressing a desire to release music under a different name to avoid preconceived notions.
