Cara Delevingne has confirmed she and actress Amber Heard were romantically involved, speaking for the first time about their relationship on the "Louis Theroux Podcast" on Monday.
Delevingne, 33, stated that she and Heard, 40, were "close for a long time" and became "entangled" during the period when Heard was divorcing her ex-husband, Johnny Depp. The model and the "Rum Diaries" co-star have been friends since at least 2014, with their bond drawing public attention in 2016 when they were frequently seen together.
Heard and Depp married in February 2015, and Heard filed for divorce in May 2016. Their divorce was finalized in January 2017. Heard and Depp had met on the set of "The Rum Diary" and subsequently began dating.
Delevingne's comments come years after claims surfaced in 2020 suggesting a "three-way affair" involving her, Heard, and Elon Musk during Heard's marriage to Depp. Musk, 55, has previously denied ever being intimate with Delevingne, stating in 2020 that they were "friends" and that he and Heard began dating approximately a month after Heard's divorce filing.
Heard and Musk dated on and off, with their relationship becoming public in April 2017 and ending that summer. They briefly reconciled in early 2018. Heard was later found liable in a defamation trial in 2022. She has since been romantically linked to art dealer Vito Schnabel, director Andrés Muschietti, and cinematographer Bianca Butti. In 2021, Heard became a mother to daughter Oonagh, and later welcomed twins Agnes and Ocean.
