Buddy Valastro, the star of Cake Boss, publicly offered to make a wedding cake for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce after the newly engaged couple revealed their plans earlier this month.
Valastro, 48, shared a throwback photograph on his Instagram Stories showing himself, Swift, 35, and his daughter Sofia, 22, standing beside a two-tier cake decorated with a figurine of the singer. The cake was created in 2011 to mark Swift’s Speak Now World Tour. On the image Valastro wrote, “You know who to call if you need a wedding cake @taylorswift @killatrav,” and added Swift’s song “August” beneath the post. Sofia originally posted the photo in a carousel titled “Last bits of summer.”
Valastro’s offer is one of several public gestures by prominent figures since the couple announced their engagement on Aug. 26. Martha Stewart posted an Instagram message saying, “It’s time to call in the ultimate wedding planner,” alongside images from the engagement shoot and a short video of her raising a glass. In the post she described the drink in the clip as “the nectar of the gods.”
Swift and Kelce, both 35, confirmed their engagement in a joint social-media post that included photographs and video of Kelce proposing in a rose garden. The pair have dated for roughly two years, and multiple outlets reported that Kelce proposed a couple of weeks before the Aug. 26 announcement. In her caption to the engagement post, Swift wrote: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
The engagement post also showcased Swift’s engagement ring, an Old Mine Brilliant Cut diamond believed to be from Kindred Lubeck at Artifex Fine Jewelry. Jewelry experts quoted by media outlets placed the stone’s estimated value between about $675,000 and $1 million.
Swift has kept most details about wedding planning private. She is scheduled to release a new album, The Life of a Showgirl, on Oct. 3, a project she previewed on Kelce’s New Heights podcast on Aug. 13. In a 2012 interview with Cosmopolitan, Swift said she hoped to involve a future partner in wedding decisions so the event would feel shared — a comment observers have cited as relevant to the couple’s public planning posture.
Offers from high-profile industry figures reflect a pattern of celebrity engagement with Swift’s personal milestones. Valastro is known for elaborate wedding and celebration cakes produced on his reality series and in his businesses. Stewart, who has experience in event planning and hospitality, has previously lent her expertise to high-profile events and product launches.
Neither Swift’s nor Kelce’s representatives have publicly confirmed whether they will accept Valastro’s or Stewart’s offers, and the couple has not disclosed a wedding date or venue. Their public announcements to date have focused on the engagement and Swift’s ongoing music releases.
As details about the wedding remain private, offers from familiar names in food and lifestyle industries underscore the degree of attention surrounding the couple’s next steps. Media outlets will monitor official announcements from Swift and Kelce for confirmation of vendors, dates and other planning particulars.
