Bury, in Greater Manchester, has been identified as the cheapest place in the United Kingdom to purchase a pint of beer, with an average cost of £2.75. This finding comes from an analysis of beer prices in cities and towns across the UK.

The average cost of a pint nationwide is currently £4.83, but significant regional variations exist. The study highlights that while many of the most affordable locations are in Scotland, northern England also features prominently in the top 10.

Kilmarnock in East Ayrshire, Scotland, ranks second with an average pint price of £3.25. Following closely is Hull, England, in third place at £3.47. Blackpool, a seaside town, secures the fourth position with pints costing £3.50.

Dundee, Scotland, is fifth on the list at £3.67, while Gloucester in England is sixth with an average price of £3.94. The latter is noted as a southern English entry that still offers relatively affordable prices compared to the national average.

Further down the list, Ayr, Falkirk, and Greenock, all in Scotland, tie for seventh, eighth, and ninth places respectively, with an average pint price of £4. Rounding out the top 10 is Wrexham, Wales, also at £4 a pint, marking the only Welsh location in the ranking.

While specific pub recommendations are mentioned, such as Waterfold Farm in Bury and The Pelican Pub in Hull, the primary focus of the research is the comparative cost of beer across different UK regions. The analysis was conducted by experts at Fast Loan UK.
