Blues icon Buddy Guy is set to celebrate his 90th birthday with a major concert event titled 'Buddy's Got The Blues' at New York City's Radio City Music Hall on Thursday, October 1, 2026. The lineup of special guests includes an array of acclaimed musicians such as Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Jon Batiste, Joe Bonamassa, and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top.
Additional artists scheduled to perform alongside Guy include Gary Clark Jr., Aloe Blacc, Robert Cray, Jimmie Vaughan, Shemekia Copeland, Samantha Fish, Eric Gales, Robert Randolph, and the duo Susan Tedeschi & Derek Trucks. In total, 21 artists are expected to join Guy for the one-night-only celebration, with more performers potentially to be announced.
Guy, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005, expressed his excitement for the event. "Can’t wait to celebrate 90 years of living, loving, and playing the Blues with all my friends," Guy stated. "We’ll make it a night not just for me, but for the folks who taught us, the friends we’ve played with, and the ones coming up behind us."
While Guy's official 90th birthday is July 30, 2026, he has scheduled performances on his 'Buddy Guy 90 Tour' around that date. These include a show at the Ocean Resort Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on July 31, and various other dates across New York and New Jersey throughout July and August.
These upcoming performances follow Guy's ninth Grammy win and his 'Damn Right Farewell Tour.' In July 2025, Guy released his 20th studio album, "Ain’t Done With The Blues," which features collaborations with artists like Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton, and Joe Bonamassa.
