Bucks Fizz members Cheryl Baker and Bobby G have ended a 15-year feud with a surprise reunion at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The two artists, both 72, posed for a photograph together, which was shared on The Fizz's official Facebook page.

"Well this is one you didn't think you'd ever see! How lovely Cheryl saw Bobby today!" the post's caption read. Baker was attending the festival with her twin daughters, while Bobby G was there to watch his daughter perform in a show.

The pair were previously involved in a significant dispute after Bobby G won a court case in August 2011. The ruling prevented his former bandmates from performing under the name The Original Bucks Fizz. This legal battle followed a long dispute over the band's trademark. A judge ruled in favor of Bobby G, stating that since his wife, Heidi Manton—also a member of his group—owned the Bucks Fizz name, the use of "The Original Bucks Fizz" infringed upon their trademark.

In a 2016 interview, Bobby G reflected on the fallout, saying, "They’re very bitter. What rubbed them up more was that I fought the case on our behalf and they lost. It cost them an awful lot of money. They even had to pay me. Because of that they don’t talk to me these days."

Bucks Fizz, one of the UK's most successful Eurovision exports, achieved victory in 1981 with their iconic skirt-whipping performance. However, the group's history has been marked by both success and tragedy. In 1984, a severe bus crash near Newcastle left Cheryl Baker with a broken spine and bandmate Mike Nolan in a three-day coma. Nolan subsequently developed epilepsy, lost 50% of his vision in both eyes, and became withdrawn.

The band underwent several lineup changes in the years that followed. Jay Aston departed the group in 1985 after an alleged affair with Andy Hill, the husband of the group's creator, Nichola Martin. Shelley Preston briefly replaced Aston before quitting after a year. David Van Day also joined the band before his departure.

Jay Aston has spoken about the financial and personal toll of her legal battles with the band, stating she ended up on welfare and living in a bedsit. She, along with Cheryl Baker and Mike Nolan, later reunited to form the trio known as The Fizz.

Bobby G continued performing as Bucks Fizz, with Baker leaving in 1993. He then took over management, recruiting Heidi Manton and Amanda Schwartz. Bobby G and Manton married in 2000 and later had a daughter, Millie, in 2006.
