Brynne Gordon, the former socialite once married to Geoffrey Edelsten, has returned to public life as a judge at the Runway in the Rainforest event during the Melbourne Fringe Festival and has spoken about her private family life and recovery from past legal troubles.

Gordon, 42, told the Daily Mail she has spent recent years largely out of the spotlight to protect her three-year-old daughter, Starr, and that she has been in a relationship for nearly four years. "It's been nearly four years now. I've been a bit more private lately. It's mostly just around my daughter," she said, adding that while she and her partner "live like a family," they have not discussed marriage.

Gordon described enjoying motherhood and watching Starr grow, saying the child is "so smart" and "not a shy person at all." Starr Amari Gordon was born on April 21, 2022, an event Gordon has previously described as a "miracle" after being told during her high-profile marriage that natural conception was unlikely. Gordon told The Herald Sun in 2022 that providing for her daughter gave her a new perspective on life.

Gordon's return to the public eye comes after a period of legal difficulties. She was arrested and charged with trafficking and possessing the drug ice in May 2021. In April 2022, the drug trafficking charges against her were cleared. Gordon has since limited public appearances and said she is now ready to "start stepping back into things" as her daughter grows older.

Gordon first came to public attention in 2009 when she married Australian businessman Geoffrey Edelsten, who was 40 years her senior. The marriage ended in divorce in 2014 after Gordon alleged Edelsten had been unfaithful. Edelsten died in Melbourne in June 2021 at age 78.

At the Melbourne Fringe Festival, Gordon served as a judge for Runway in the Rainforest, an event that brought her back into a social and cultural setting. She said she was "really excited" to participate and to have an opportunity to dress up and be around friends and colleagues while keeping her daughter as her priority.

Gordon confirmed Starr has visited family in the United States and said the child's father has met the daughter on two occasions; she has not publicly identified him. Gordon has previously appeared on the television program SAS Australia, and her public profile rose and receded with both her television appearances and private challenges.

In discussing the future, Gordon emphasized her focus on family and cautious re-engagement with public life. She said she hopes to balance professional opportunities with parenting responsibilities and to protect her daughter's privacy as she grows.

Gordon's comments were published by the Daily Mail as part of coverage of her role at the Melbourne Fringe Festival and her return to public-facing activities after several years largely spent away from media attention.
