Brooks Nader declined to comment on reports about her romantic life while attending The Daily Front Row's 12th annual Fashion Media Awards, changing the subject when asked whether she could "set the record straight" about anyone she was dating.
The 28-year-old model, standing on the red carpet alongside designer Zac Posen, deflected the question and instead praised Posen, who was being honored at the event. "We're just here to celebrate Zac Posen!" Nader said. Posen, 44, added, "We're just here to celebrate today! Thank you!"
The exchange came a day after Page Six published a report saying Nader had been romantically linked to both Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner at the same time. The two men contested the US Open final last week, a match in which Alcaraz, 22, defeated Sinner to reclaim the world No. 1 ranking.
Page Six and other tabloid reports prompted pushback and varying accounts. Nader previously dismissed suggestions that she was dating Sinner during an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and her sister, Grace Ann Nader, deepened speculation at a New York Fashion Week event by telling E! News that "the rumours are true" and calling Alcaraz "the man of the hour." Grace Ann had also suggested that the sister had received a direct message from "an athlete whose name 'rhymes with winner.'"
At the same time, sources close to Alcaraz have downplayed a romantic connection. Spanish journalist Alberto Guzman told the radio program No Somos Nadie that, according to Alcaraz's inner circle, the player is single and not in an "official relationship," comments carried by 20 Minutos. Guzman said Alcaraz "confirmed to those close to him that he is single and has no intention of having any serious relationships. Perhaps she is not well informed," according to the Spanish news site.
Nader's reported links to the two tennis stars follow earlier public associations with Sinner and a recent split from dancer Gleb Savchenko. Nader and Savchenko separated in April after meeting on the television competition "Dancing with the Stars." She also had front-row seats earlier in the tournament to watch Alcaraz, who defeated Arthur Rinderknech on his way to the final.
Alcaraz has been connected in recent months to British player Emma Raducanu; the two partnered in mixed doubles at the US Open, which fuelled additional speculation. Raducanu dismissed pairing-based rumours in June, saying, "We're just good friends," and laughed off further questioning when the subject was cut short by an interviewer.
Representatives for Nader, Alcaraz and Sinner did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Media accounts of private relationships and differing statements from friends, family and close sources have produced conflicting narratives in the days following the US Open final.
At the Fashion Media Awards, the focus from Nader and Posen remained on the ceremony and Posen's recognition. Posen received the Fashion Innovator award, and Nader's brief appearance on the carpet centered on celebrating his honor rather than addressing the circulating reports about her personal life.
