Brooks Nader, 29, has been photographed in the signature red swimsuit while filming scenes for the upcoming reboot of "Baywatch," set to premiere on Fox in January 2027. Nader, who plays Selene, a captain of the Zuma Beach lifeguards, shared her excitement about the role, describing it as a dream she had manifested.
Nader recently spoke with Fox News Digital about her "Baywatch" swimsuit, noting that it meets the approval of her conservative parents, who previously restricted her to two-piece bikinis. "I think that the times are different, and everyone is so multi-hyphenate now. And you can be both an actor and an influencer and have influence," Nader said in response to critics who labeled the casting as "influencer casting, not acting." She added that social media allows individuals to "use their voice now," potentially bringing a new vibe to the show.
The "Baywatch" reboot also features Stephen Amell, Shay Mitchell, and Hassie Harrison. The casting of influencers like Nader, Noah Beck, and Livvy Dunne has drawn criticism online, with some deeming the project a "JOKE" with an "awful cast."
Nader first confirmed her casting on Instagram in March. She shared photos from the set alongside childhood pictures, including one of herself in a one-piece swimsuit and another wearing a "movie star" shirt. "I believed in this long before it made sense," she captioned the post. "Never give up, chase your dreams no matter how wild there are!!!!!"
The original "Baywatch" series ran for 11 seasons from 1989 to 2001 and launched the careers of actors such as Pamela Anderson and Carmen Electra. Electra, who joined the show in its eighth season, previously shared that she was homeless in Los Angeles before her career took off, highlighting the struggles many face before achieving success.
