Brooklyn Beckham watched the World Cup final on Sunday from his home, while his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, and his brothers, Romeo and Cruz, along with their girlfriends, attended the match at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Nicola Peltz Beckham shared a photo on Instagram showing Brooklyn watching the Spain vs. Argentina game from his sofa. This marks another instance of Brooklyn missing a significant family event, as he did not attend the World Cup final with the rest of his family.
Earlier in June, Brooklyn Beckham appeared in a sponsored video for DoorDash where he alluded to his absence from the World Cup, stating, "You're probably wondering why I'm watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home... It's a long story." The advertisement concluded with a message reading, "It's complicated. More soon," suggesting further cryptic content related to his family dynamics.
Friends of the Beckham family reportedly expressed shock at the advertisement, with one source telling the Daily Mail that using estrangement from family as a basis for an advertisement, especially when family members are reportedly devastated, is "shocking." The source added, "Especially from someone who claims he wants peace and privacy."
Despite Brooklyn's absence from the stadium, the Beckham family was seen actively engaged in watching the tournament. David and Victoria Beckham were present at previous matches, including England's semi-final loss to Argentina. During the semi-final, Victoria was seen celebrating England's goal by leaping into David's arms, a reaction that contrasted with her more subdued demeanor during a previous match, which had led to her becoming a meme.
Romeo Beckham, 23, attended the final with his girlfriend Jackie Apostel, 30. Cruz Beckham, 21, was also present with his girlfriend Kim Turnbull, 25. David Beckham was seen in a suit, while Victoria Beckham, who had missed a fellow Spice Girl's wedding in the UK to attend the game, also appeared stylish.
The Beckham family's attendance at the World Cup matches throughout the tournament has been a notable presence, with various members sharing their experiences online.
