Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz Beckham will reportedly no longer celebrate their first wedding anniversary, citing "bad memories" associated with the event. Sources close to the couple suggest that their April 2022 wedding, which was attended by Beckham's family, is not an occasion they recall fondly, with Peltz Beckham reportedly ending up in tears.

Instead, the couple plans to mark their vow renewal ceremony from August 2025 as their official anniversary. This earlier ceremony was attended only by Peltz Beckham's family and their friends, pointedly excluding the Beckham family.

Brooklyn Beckham recently marked the August vow renewal by posting a tribute to his wife on Instagram, calling her his "absolute princess" and "best friend." Peltz Beckham also shared a post celebrating her husband. This public acknowledgment of the vow renewal comes after a period of reported estrangement from his family.

Earlier this year, Brooklyn Beckham stated in a social media post that he and Peltz Beckham chose to renew their vows to "create new memories that bring us joy and happiness" after negative experiences surrounding their initial wedding. He detailed instances he described as "anxiety and embarrassment," including claims that his mother, Victoria Beckham, hijacked their first dance and called him "evil" during wedding planning stages. He also mentioned family members telling Peltz Beckham she was "not blood" and "not family" in the lead-up to the wedding.

The couple has recently been vacationing in the South of France, staying on a yacht near Elton John. This location was a short distance from where David and Victoria Beckham were also holidaying, marking a close proximity to his estranged parents that has not occurred in months. Brooklyn Beckham has reportedly skipped his family's annual getaway on their yacht.

The original wedding took place over a three-day event at the Peltz family estate in Palm Beach, Florida, with approximately 500 guests in attendance.
