Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent has reportedly ended her engagement to footballer Kean Bryan after 10 years together. The couple, who share two young sons, Mexx and Monroe, are said to have quietly called off their engagement earlier this year.
Vincent, 34, and Bryan, 29, who previously played for Sheffield United, became engaged in 2022. The actress recently shared a cryptic message on Instagram, posting photos from a night out with the caption: "August… somehow an ending and a beginning all at once."
A source told The Sun that the decision to split was not easy and that the pair are focused on co-parenting their children. "Brooke and Kean have decided to split but are co-parenting their sons together. It wasn't an easy decision for them to make and they are both trying to navigate this new path together," the source stated. "They had been together for ten years so it was always going to take time to adjust. Right now their focus is on their sons and keeping normality for them."
Vincent has recently returned to television, joining the cast of Hollyoaks in July to play the character Abigail Matthews. She is widely recognized for her role as Sophie Webster on Coronation Street, a character she portrayed from 2004 to 2019. After a seven-year absence from soap operas, this new role marks her return to the screen.
Earlier this year, Vincent had shared her excitement about joining Hollyoaks, posting on Instagram: "So excited to be joining the cast of Hollyoaks for such a powerful storyline!! I am so grateful for this opportunity to be back on screen playing a brand new character plus my family will be happy I’m back in a full time job Haha."
During her time on Coronation Street, Vincent took breaks for other projects, including a stage production and participation in Dancing On Ice. She last appeared on the show when she went on maternity leave in 2019 for the birth of her first son, Mexx. Her first acting role after becoming a mother was in the UK stage tour of The Syndicate. Her second son, Monroe SJ Bryan, was born in May 2021. In 2024, Vincent also appeared in the ITV reality show Drama Queens.
